Allinson’s gets bready for Party in the Park

May 27, 2022 • 3 min read

Stortford Heroes announces Allinson’s as the latest sponsor for Party in the Park, a free music festival to celebrate unsung local heroes. It takes place on Saturday 16th July at Sworder’s Field, Bishop’s Stortford with live music and entertainment for the whole family.

As part of the celebrations there will be a special award ceremony with award categories that recognise our local heroes. Allinson’s, the UK’s number one* bread flour brand owned by The Silver Spoon Company, will be sponsoring the Key Worker Award. This special award recognises front-line workers who went to extraordinary lengths to support us through the pandemic.

Matt Lupton, Site Manager at Allinson’s Flour Mill, said “Our flour mill has been part of Bishop’s Stortford for decades, so it’s great to be able to support this fantastic community event. Recognising the work that local heroes carried out during the pandemic and taking the time to celebrate their hard work is really important.  At our mill, we understand the challenges that were faced, with our employees running our operations throughout the pandemic, supplying our flour into supermarkets, which is why sponsoring the Key Worker Heroes Award is so important to us.”

CEO of ITVET Ltd, Daryl Fuller, said: “Allinson’s is an incredible flour mill based in Bishop’s Stortford, and we’re really thankful to have them involved with Party in the Park. Seeing local businesses coming together to show our appreciation of our local heroes is what being a community is all about.”

Party in the Park is completely community-driven with local businesses and volunteers kindly helping ITVET to put on this incredible event. All proceeds will be donated to one of the headline charities – Stortford Heroes, Grove Cottage, Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank, and Centre Algarve.

If you know someone you believe is worthy of the Key Worker Award, you can nominate them at: https://www.stortfordheroes.co.uk/nominate-a-hero/
